I wonder how many of the boot lickers here will say he should have fOlLoWeD oRdErS.
All the officers involved need to be fired, post haste. ZERO excuse for this.

That would not have happened if social workers responded.
There’s a hell of a lot on that site but there is t any body cam footage.
Will the entire police department in all their vehicles, lights flashing, be escorting the body to the coroners office and then to the memorial service?
No, the dead victim will get none of that.
Maybe the cop was planning to interview for a position in Houston, TX and needed a little padding for his resume.
Excuses are not accepted. Firing is not enough.
Cops had the flashlight in the mans eyes. He couldn’t see anything.
Murder charges. All of them. They are nothing but thugs.
Stupid ba$tards. Most likely no one will be held accountable or fired.
They were going to kill everything that moved even though they knew they were at the wrong address at almost midnight on a weekday.
Cops are going to have to be trained to take some risks in some situations, they can’t just kill everything they think could be a possible threat and then try to figure out who was who.
Just because you’re not doing anything wrong doesn’t mean they won’t kill you anyway.
And then get away with it.
Because ‘officer safety’.
‘Ah wuz in feer fur mah life’
All that matters is the cops went home safe that night, sorry ‘bout that citizen, but cops are more important than you are!
Stories like this make it hard to back the Blue.
1:11. You can see the number "5305" on the house.I really don't care to finish watching this.2:37: Officer asks to call the house of the reported domestic and have someone come to the door.
3:16: Officers discuss address, forgetting they should have seen the house number when the approached the house.
One ask if they are at the right address.3:37: Officer sees someone approaching door and backs up.
3:39: Officer has gun and gun light on door with homeowner opening door.
(I can see it, homeowner has a gun)3:40: Officer says hands up and starts shooting.
(To me it sounds like shots were fired before the officer finished speaking).
bkmk
As a retired LEO of 25 years I can say that was one of the worst shoots videos I have ever seen. Who’s training these guys, Bevis and Butthead?
The most important thing is that those officers got home safely to their families. /s
They knew they screwed up the address and when they heard the homeowner approaching said “of shit” and backed off. Blinded by a flashlight, there was no way for the homeowner to know it was police. No way he would have heard the cops voice from back in his bedroom. When the homeowner approached the door, they should have shouted POLICE! to ensure he knew.
