An analogy would be with Gillette, where the competition is considerable, though not as intense as Anheuser Busch. Gillette permanently lost market share as a result. I think they will lay low for a few months, then bring out cops, soldiers, firemen, and the Clydesdale horses to revive the brand. Do conservative beer drinkers have memories longer than fruit flies? We will find out.

most likely not ... but their taste-buds do ... so when they discover an alternative brewsky that they like much better than bud light, they’re very unlikely to take the trouble to switch back to a product that they now no is inferior ...
