The media has to calculate whether or not releasing the info would hurt Democrats on the whole. They want Joe gone, but not if it takes the whole party with him.

The mainstream media wants what the hidden powers behind Biden’s throne want. It beginning to appear the plan is to replace Joe Biden with Gavin Newsome as the party candidate in 2024. Gavin has recently been on the campaign trail making public appearances around the nation. He is also appearing in television commercials spouting his message.
The likely scenario:
Gavin continues to unofficially campaign and receive fawning press. The media continues to suppress the bad news on Joe and Hunter corruption and the bureaucracy continues slow walking the providing of information to the House committees investigating Joe and Hunter. Merrick Garland continues to block any formal DOJ investigation of the Biden’s and the FBI continues to stonewall. The mainstream media continues to ignore the information being revealed by the House investigation and the trolls in social media condemn every negative story about Biden corruption as misinformation. The Republican members of the Senate maintain silence and ignore pressure from the conservative voter base to demand investigations of Biden corruption by the DOJ and Senate. The goal is to stall any potential for a criminal investigation of Joe until after the 2024 election. The classic run out the clock scenario.
Joe holds out on announcing he won’t run for reelection as long as possible. Once Joe announces he is not running, Gavin formally announces his candidacy and the prearranged endorsements from heavyweights in the party, allied organizations (unions, social activist groups) and party heavyweights flow in. Of course the media cheerleading for Gavin is overwhelming and dominates the political reporting. Kamala either announces she isn’t running for VP or POTUS or throws her hat in the ring to compete with Newsome, RFK Jr, and a few others (perhaps Elizabeth Warren) in the primaries. Newsome has the insider backing and quickly trounces the others in the first few primaries. His opponents’ money runs out and Newsome cruises to the convention with an overwhelming delegate count.
The Constitution does not allow the POTUS and VP to be from the same state, so the Kamala problem is solved by making Newsome the POTUS nominee. He won’t have any pressure to appoint Kamala as his running mate (sorry about that racist Constitution Kamala dear). So who will the VP candidate be? Stacy Abrams, Elizabeth Warren, Julian Castro, Pete Buttigieg, Michelle Obama, Kirstin Gillibrand, Susan Rice? Likely a diversity appointee (female, gay, person of color, or some combination) to be the running mate of the while male liberal governor of California.
Of course they might do the unexpected with respect to the VP slot. Pretend moderate (actually very liberal) while male NC Governor Roy Cooper is ambitious and under almost any scenario a Republican cannot win the Electoral College without NC’s 16 electoral votes. Cooper has been a popular governor, he won election to governor’s mansion in 2016 and 2020, receiving more votes than Trump did for president in the state. Handing the VP nomination to Cooper might secure NC and help prospects in Georgia and Virginia, particularly with the media touting him as a sensible moderate. If NC, Virginia, and Georgia go Democrat in 2024 there is no trip to the White House for the Republican candidate. Cooper’s term as governor ends in 2024 so he’ll be looking for something else to do.
That would leave them with harris. But I think the media will do what the dems tell them at this point. To hide and not discuss the laptop or the videos of them stuffing the drop boxes tell me they are bought and paid for. Amazes me because these reporters have to live in the same world they are helping to create.
