Most CEOs don’t even know what products their companies produce. I kid you not. They can tell you the industry they serve, but very little about anything going on. They are not really chief executives, they are more like a figure head. Useless money suckers.

While I agree with you, the fact that AB has a DEI statement on their website means to me that they have a DEI department, and fully support what BL did with Mulvaney.

I work for a large subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company. Our division CEO refers to himself as Corporate Overhead. Unlike many, he’s also knowledgeable of our products and customers.

A CEO's job is schmoozing the stock holders. AB's CEO is going to have his work cut out for him now.

I worked at very small companies. The CEO was usually the founder

So true.
I witnessed this in a career in the mining industry.
The industry transitioned from mining enginers and geologists in upper management to financial and legal types in charge.
Most couldn't tell the difference between a haul truck and a bicycle, and worse, didn't want to know.
