It seems like it’s only a matter of time. I wonder what the trigger will be…
Maybe there’s already a countdown clock ticking.
China has been doing what they call salami slicing. They do a little thing that takes away something from Taiwan, or India, or whoever, but that thing is too small to start an actual war over. After a while, they have the whole salami. They announced they’d be stopping ships in Taiwan’s waters. Taiwan also has several island forts that are super close to China’s coast. The US specifically said they won’t defend those if they get taken. I’d guess the actual invasion will start there, or the Chinese will starve them out and force their surrender. As for the actual “trigger” it could have been any number of things that already have been done and it hasn’t triggered yet. I think China is forty percent of Taiwan’s exports. It’s a hard choice. If I was Taiwan, I’d have remotely controlled mines all along China’s coast.
