This has led to a generation that believes there has to be something wrong with them just to fit in. They value victimhood, so they have to be eternal victims.
Because when you declare yourself a victim, you are now free to give yourself a pass -- on everything. You no longer need to try. You no longer need to persevere in life. You can just quit, blame others for everything, smoke dope, and rage against those Trump supporters because of your need to keep a tight psychological grip on preserving your victim status. And, as a bonus, you get to keep your delusion going and that doing all this makes you a virtuous victim who believes you are a righteous saint for suffering such untold personal harm that has resulted in your victimhood.
We are battling mass psychosis now and Democrats are fully exploiting this.
Ms. Stone may not yet consider herself a conservative, but she is definitely moving in that direction. Her awareness of the left’s constant attacks on conservatives and President Trump, and their hypocrisy when doing so, puts her way ahead of most “independents” who pretend they aren’t really leftists.
She really had some good insights and showed a tendency for self-reflection and awareness of the media narrative.
“Because when you declare yourself a victim, you are now free to give yourself a pass — on everything.”
______
Which is what we have been seeing in universities while the media, politicians, and college administrators all praise the students for their “bravery”. However, the “victim-hood” has also spread to corporations, K-12 education, medical institutions, charity organizations, and all other institutions.
The GOPe urged us decades ago to not fight the culture wars, but instead to concentrate on reducing corporate taxes, and making sure we were policing other countries for what was perceived as their failures. We were convinced that we should be funding foreign wars in order to keep the money flowing for the politicians military-complex investments. (The fact that politicians have made millions of dollars off “guessing right” on foreign conflicts should be a clue). Those foreign wars were more important than fighting for our family, our Church, our educational system, our children, and our God.
It was a mistake to listen to them. For now the culture war has escaped the campuses and arrived on our front door-steps and American citizens no longer have a voice.
