Lead Detective in Daniel Perry Case: Soros-Funded DA Removed 100 Pages of Evidence from Jury – DA’s Actions Went from Highly Unethical to Criminal Conduct

A Texas soldier was found guilty of murder on Friday after Soros-backed District Attorney Jose Garza sought murder charges for an act of self defense during the 2020 George Floyd riots.

Sgt. Daniel Perry, an army soldier who shot and killed an armed BLM-Antifa protester in Austin in July 2020 was indicted on a murder charge in 2021.

A Travis County jury found Daniel Perry guilty of murder.

A video from that night shows that the victim aimed an AK-47 at Perry before he was shot dead.

Side-by-side video with both angles, you can see Perry come to a complete stop before having to defend himself from the mob and Garrett Foster

Might be worth mentioning as well, Foster was a BLM allied boogpic.twitter.com/eYAoq9BzX9

— AntifaWatch (@AntifaWatch2) July 1, 2021 This weekend the lead detective in the case, David Fugitt, filed an affidavit following the shocking verdict in the case.

Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza

According to Fugitt, District Attorney Joze Garza and his office had him remove 100 pages of exculpatory evidence in the case. The DA’s office had him shorten his presentation from 158 slides to 56 slides.

Fugitt added that this was likely criminal behavior.

— Ryan Fournier (@RyanAFournier) April 8, 2023 The Soros-funded DA ordered the detective to delete over 100 pages of evidence and hide this from the jury.

Jose Garza should be disbarred for this criminal conduct and brought up on charges.

On Saturday Texas Governor Gregg Abbott announced he will pardon Daniel Perry.

It seems that withholding exculpatory evidence is a growing trend with Soros DA. Do they go to a workshop or a class to learn these tricks?

According to Fugitt, District Attorney Joze Garza and his office had him remove 100 pages of exculpatory evidence in the case.

Okay, we all know that's illegal. Now what is anyone going to do about it?

I know the governor has recommended a pardon and that's good but it's not even close to satisfactory. Where in the hell is any accountability in government? I'm sick of it.

I say this as someone with 25 years of federal law enforcement experience. If I had removed any evidence exculpatory or otherwise I would have been fired and prosecuted and rightly so.

Our system of justice can't continue like this but I fear that is the entire point.

Or tied by his ankles to a wild Longhorn bull down where the cactus grows thick.

ALL of the DAs and AGs funded by Soros are corrupt, anti-American, Anti-Constitutionalists put in place to destroy decent people, coddle criminals and create chaos. Every one of them should be locked up in Guantanamo; They are a greater threat to the nation, to public safety than any Al Qaeda terrorist.

.
This is the new standard.

You have Activist DAs and Judges - and they’re out to get the bad guys and “evidence” and procedure just gets in the way.

You see the Judges working as partners with the DAs that are 100% governed by their far left Politics.

I have my own opinion, but I will keep it to myself.

In a grand jury, I don’t believe that they have to

That’s up to the defense at trial

Andrew Branca at legal insurrection has a lengthy piece on this case that lays this part out, but nobody here will like his conclusions as to the verdict

Perry’s comments on social media beforehand sure didn’t help

Ah yes, the 64 dollar question. The way things have gone on, in recent years, I predict nothing. I know it sucks, but that’s reality.

The lead Detective was smart to put this out there. He probably felt a deep dive review would take place with this case, and it would come to light that he’d removed the evidence. He just doesn’t want the blame to fall on himself.

It isn’t the duty of the prosecutor to present exculpatory evidence to the jury. But it is his duty to provide it to the defense.

I think you meant to write that prosecutors don't have to give exculpatory evidence to a grand jury. If a prosecutor hides exculpatory evidence from a trial jury (as in the case of J6 charges), that should make a guilty verdict very shaky, and the prosecutor should be in trouble.

The linked GP article states that there is a video of Foster pointing a gun at Perry but I can't find it. In this case, if such a video existed the defense should have shown it to the trial jury. That does not mean that Perry is guilty, but the GP article is sloppy.

The DOJ claims that the J6 defense lawyers had access to the capitol tapes but the DOJ is like the Nazi’s Sondergerichte.
