She destroyed a viable brand, and will lose her job, has an annoying accent, and looks down on things a lot of us hold dear - but she used surrogates because her cancer treatment (Stage III melanoma @ age 25) made her unable to have her own.

Actually, she’s a (doesn’t say what kind of) cancer survivor, so may not have the ability to actually carry children.
