The media is responsible no matter who/what is responsible. They quite literally glorify through their constant publicity of these shooters, these kinds of events. They analyze, over-analyze, over-over-analyze and talk non-stop about the shooters.
There's a name for this, I cannot remember what it is, that happens after a mass shooting event where another happens within weeks and is "encouraged" (for lack of a better term) by the publicity the shooter gets.
I don't care who/what shot a bunch of people dead, the media's non-stop nattering about these events keeps driving them.

It probably is and that’s why there’s a delay in identifying the killer. The politicians need time to get the social media scrubbed before they go public with their preferred narrative.
