The U.S. is going to become a second Cuba...
where Cuba had to keep their 1950s American cars alive and going for decades.
The U.S. will have the ICE cars from the last 3 decades alive and going for the next 50 years, if not more.
But, regulations can be started and stopped, and EV sales will stand around 10% or less for the next 100 years. People don’t want them and people can’t be forced into demands by government. Besides, unless democrats can figure out a way for them to stay in power forever, EV regulations will be changed once the EPA is forced to change it’s useless and stupid demands.
My guess is that since Trump was pretty successful in his efforts to bring the EPA to heel (pity he wasn't able to do likewise at DOJ), now EPA and probably many of the executive branch agencies are busy packing the upper tiers of their permanent ranks of bureaucrats with "true believers". People who will resist any future power shift due to election results and stealthily work around future Republican appointees to keep the DEI stuff, as well as Climate and Social Governance crap on track.
And why not? If DOJ can obviously turn against the Chief Executive when it suits them, why not the rest of the Executive Branch?
