On paper the Russian military is still vastly superior to that of Ukraine.
Pre-war most people, myself included, thought that the much better tanks of the Russians would lead to a rapid Russian victory.
What we missed is that tech isn’t everything:
* Russia didn’t have the resources to make sure their assets were a state of good repair
* endemic corruption prevent units from being properly supplied
* the leadership in place due to loyalty instead of ability
Those factors are the only thing that has allowed Ukraine with its T-64s to win against T-90s.
