Tech executive Bob Lee, who created the mobile payment service Cash App, was stabbed to death in San Francisco, Calif., on Tuesday morning, according to reports.
He was 43 years old.
The tech mogul, who formerly served as the chief technology officer of Square, was attacked in the city’s downtown Rincon Hill neighborhood at 2:35 a.m., according to San Francisco police.
Officers arrived to find the victim, later confirmed to be Lee by CBS News, with multiple stab wounds.
Lee was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police told the outlet. No arrests have been made as of early Wednesday.
San Francisco police have not released any suspect details, the outlet added.
The Post has reached out to the San Francisco Police Department for comment.
Jake Shields, Lee’s friend and a mixed martial arts champion, revealed Lee was attacked while he was walking.

When I lived in SF I walked around the city at all hours, even the Tenderloin. I was mugged in 1996, right outside the Hilton, had my jaw broken... spent 3 days in the hospital. Really changed my perception about the safety of the city. Tourists however are out at all hours when the weather permits... they are preyed on by the feral street gangs.
Why would he be walking the streets at 2:30 AM looking for male prostitutes when he could have just called Paul and Nancy Pelosi to get one sent over to his house???

As a 12 year old boy in 1962 I safely walked alone all over SF. Today I wouldn’t walk anywhere in SF unless carrying a sidearm. An AR would be too hard to conceal.
I’ll say it again, NOTHING good happens out in public areas after 1:00 am. That’s when the animals are set loose.
When I was in law enforcement, a program was launched to help apprehend car thieves. Car owners could voluntarily apply a distinctive sticker to the rear window, identifying it as enrolled in the program. Law enforcement officers observing such marked vehicles being driven on public roads between the hours of 1:00 am and 6:00 am could be pulled over by the owner’s explicit consent to the program and the occupants ID’ed and the registered owner contacted. It was extremely effective. There is a good reason that law enforcement specified that time frame.
