Democrat (Really Liberal Progressives) think they will rule forever—they may for a time—but but forever. The aristocrats thought they could rule old France forever—until they didn’t. When the tables turn it will be worse in the USA than it was in Soviet Russia for the rich (as it will be in China and Mexico too).
Actually, it’s a venue problem. Libs control big jurisdictions where politicians work. D.C., the southern district of NY, NY City, Atlanta., etc. For the Republicans to do the same, some dem pol would have to do some bad act in W. VA, for example.
In D.C., dems control the grand jury, trial juries, the courts and the prosecutor’s office, and no, they won’t indict or convict another dem.

If this is allowed to stand, any Republican in a right leaning district who can identify a very right leaning judge has an open invitation to charge a prominent leftist Democrat on any cockamamie legal theory he can come up with.

I believe that won’t happen. Democrat prosecutors might charge Republicans for political reasons. I expect Republican prosecutors to do nothing about it.

Any thoughts on which jurisdictions might be capable of taking such a step? Wyoming or some other deep red state? I’d like to see politicians in those parts of the country start campaigning on just that platform, i.e. I’m going to indict Hillary, Obama, etc., just as Bragg and Letetia James did with Trump. It really needs to be talked about openly. Perhaps voters in those areas need to start petitioning their state leaders to get the ball rolling.
I can think of places in Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, Wyoming, etc etc. Remember it doesn’t have to be the whole state. It can be just one district - like NYC. There are over 30,000 district attorneys in the US.
All it takes is a handful of those willing to retaliate - and a highly biased judge of course.
