We know this is a kangaroo trial meant to keep him from campaigning.

No way. The role of the Secret Service is directed by congressional authority. Their primary duty is protecting the life of the president. There's no way they could do this in jail.

Indeed, if some Barney Fife with a NYPD badge tried to drag Trump off in handcuffs, the Secret Service would not permit this to happen. And they do not answer to Alvin Bragg any more than they did to Sheriff Joe Arpaio when he often bellowed that he was going to arrest Obama.

That's why there will be no handcuffs, no mugshot, no perp walk, and no jail.

This whole circus is a f***ing joke.

Now I fully expect congressional Democrats will want to pass a law to withhold Secret Service protection in the event of criminal convictions but this legislation isn't there yet.
