The recent active shooting training the school had conducted apparently saved lives. A spokesman from the company who conducted the training said they did everything to as close as “by the book” as possible.

With the right cheap plastic films, she might have been stuck out there with a shattered window she could no longer see through. It needn’t be bulletproof - as that is both quite expensive and heavy for a door - but just keeping it from shattering away would have helped a lot.
