My brother-in-law who is a very high ranking officer in one of our military services tried to explain to me why he was requiring all of his subordinates to be injected with the “vaccines” and all of the boosters. He would accept no excuses and there were no legitimate objections, no exemptions or any circumstances that made any difference to him. He said that people who were more qualified than he had made this decision and he had no interest at all in any discussion that questioned this.

That my friends, is the type of person that has been advanced to high levels in our officer corps these days. Formerly I was proud that he had made it to such a high level, but I basically have lost all respect for him in the past few years. We now have losers in charge who care for more about parroting woke idealism than the wellbeing of our military personnel or winning wars. He of course also said that “climate change” was the most daunting challenge that our military now faces.

The lowliest private is more qualified than anyone who refuses to think at all.

Battles can only be won once people like this get purged from command and replaced by people capable of original thought.

That’s depressing.

That is the type of person who, if instructed to do so, will arbitrarily round up fellow citizens and take them to a concentration camp without trial or any form of due process. That is the type of person who if ordered to do so will shoot to kill innocent people. Every tyrannical government desires an officer corps filled with people who will follow any order without question, or without remorse.

Sadly, we see the same behavior in throughout the federal bureaucracy and particularly the agencies (FBI, CIA, DOJ, Homeland Security, ATF, and the military) whose number one purpose should be protecting the freedom of the citizens of this nation.

I was a worker bee on an aircraft career back in the early 80’s. When I heard about the USS Roosevelt pulling into an overseas port and quarantining the ship because of Covid, I thought it was nonsense. Sure Covid is bad, but it is not as bad if the ship comes down with a Norwalk virus. I had it coming out of both ends and many of the crew did too.

Re: High-ranking woke in the military (Post 12).

It has gotten worse over the last two decades as the military fails to attract and retain sufficient numbers of talented officers. Many left under Obama.

Sorry to hear that. I do hear the same exact things from people that lean left on all sorts of issues. They always tell me something along the lines of, “Well, a lot of really smart people were involved in making the decision, so it must make sense.” And shrug their shoulders.
Sigh. No personal critical thought whatsoever. Just “trust” tue people in charge. It’s really quite sad. I don’t fully trust anyone in charge of anything, ever.
