You are correct except for the fact that over the last few decades the Left has been scrubbing the Officer Corps of Patriots and those loyal to the foundations of this nation.

What is left in the Officer Corps are Leftist true believers and Leftist Toadies.

If there was a popular uprising in the United States against the Biden administration and Biden directed the military officers to suppress that uprising I have no doubt that the Officer Corps would follow the order to use all of the US Military mite available to put down the citizens that were defending freedom.

Blood would flow in the streets of Washington D.C. just as it did when MacArthur put down the Bonus Army on the orders of Herbert Hoover.
