There is not a real conundrum here.
There are many instances of people rebelling, for whatever reason, against a Christian upbringing.
(I cite an example in my family: my niece rebelled against her Christian upbringing and would rather do drugs and turn tricks than be clean. The family did everything they could but she refused their help; so all that was left was just simply to walk away.)
There are several children of famous Christians who have separated themselves from their parents and Christianity as well as other well known Christians who have left the faith. (There is a word for it, but cannot recall what it is)
Andy Stanley might be the most recent. The parents cannot control the beliefs, or actions, of their adult children.
I have nieces myself who went to Christian universities that are either woke and / or have left the faith.
