It was originally passed for a reason - to ensure that state office holders in Florida focus on the jobs they ran for rather than spending their time campaigning for some other office. Sounds like a pretty good idea, except it interferes with DeSantis’s presidential ambitions, so it’s being repealed.
It’s been repealed twice before. If it’s such a good idea why do only five states have it?
That’s right. I feel like Ron DeSantis running for president right now, is like bait and switch. He just won his election for four more years as governor of Florida and now his britches are bigger and bigger every day and suddenly he’s gonna be president and ditch us. I don’t think people here are going to wanna say hey, I like that Ron DeSantis so much I’m gonna make him president.
