Three of my kids (and their spouses and children) have moved to TX in the past four years.

So, six adults.

They are all hard working conservative Republicans. They are making TX a better state and raising their kids well.

And they are all moving to red states where they will register to vote from. You know,to make things better just like the place they just left.

People, especially families with kids, have been fleeing for decades.

Agree. I could see the sewer where CA was heading and bugged out in the late ‘90s. Second best decision I ever made.

California’s major problem is that there are too many people. There has to be some kind of self-selection of those who stay and those who move out to populate less crowded areas — like the Midwest, North and South. That’s also true of most of the highly dense population areas of the world, or trees would grow to the sky. That’s why Columbus set out to discover the New World, as is Musk.

On the other hand, the homeless, disorderly, drug addled, and dysfunctional are drawn to the cities as the only places they can find refuge and like-minded enablers. So overwhelmingly, they elect people who will do nothing as leaders.

And so it is up to every individual who can still “discriminate” valid and significant differences, to create a quality life elsewhere. That is the story of civilization — the rise and fall of communities, and nobody stays on the top forever. Just ten years ago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Honolulu, Paris, London, Tokyo were all riding high — and now they are glorified dumpster fires — with every Antifa loser emerging out of their parent’s basements to terrorize the good citizens.

The leaders and those who should know better, stand by approvingly — for lack of any better things to do, and better vision for their communities than to let everybody do their “own thing” — without any guidance or supervision.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, there is still “No camping” allowed in Red Square or the Forbidden City — unlike the Portlands, Seattles, San Franciscos — where their leaders insist they should occupy their prime real estate as a mark of their moral superiority.
