belvedere, IL – A concert at the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere turned tragic on Thursday evening when the roof collapsed, trapping multiple attendees. The incident was reported as a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI), with multiple red patients and one declared dead on arrival.
According to the Belvidere Fire Department, the collapse occurred during a concert featuring heavy metal bands Morbid Angel, Revocation, and Skeletal Remains. The concert started at 7 PM and was in progress when the roof gave way.
I’m about 20 miles from there. OMG, Back in 1967 a tornado hit there and killed schoolchildren and some adults.There are injuries tonight, don’t know how many yet.
