I’m the first millennial Republican to run for US president. If you ask most people my age what it means to be an American today, you get a blank stare in response. Faith, patriotism, family and hard work are disappearing.
A recent Wall Street Journal survey reveals that young people in particular are responsible for driving this trend: 59% of Americans age 65 and older say that patriotism is “very important” to them, compared with only 23% of adults under age 30. The survey observed a similar gap with respect to interest in religion, hard work and having children.
This is sad but unsurprising. Our nation’s higher-education institutions reliably sing their America-bashing chorus: Recently Stanford University deemed the term “American” to be “harmful language.”
Even more disturbingly, the “America is bad” ilk has slinked its way into our elementary schools under the auspices of equity and social justice. Students in classrooms across America today are taught to apologize for our country’s history rather than to be proud of it. Critical race theory and gender theory pervades K-12 education, where children are taught to identify themselves as members of an “oppressor” or “oppressed” category based on their skin color and sexual preferences.
Public schools endlessly celebrate “diversity” as our strength without reminding students of what binds us together as one people.

Patriotism & knowledge of history become more important as we age & (hopefully) acquire wisdom. But our schools are definitely teaching kids to hate this country & that may be hard to overcome later in life. I like Vivek. I won’t vote for him for president, but he will bring some interesting conversations to the coming election season.
What should we expect, given the “down with America,” “down with Christianity,” and “down with traditional values” mantras spewing from the “media” and school systems in this country?
This country must find a way to peacefully divide itself or no part of it will survive.
The 1930’s Communist plan to brainwash Americans through the education system and then maintain the brainwashing through the media has been almost 100% successful, as we ignored all the warnings from anti-communists & conservatives for 3 decades and passively let them execute their plans -

I know nothing about this guy.
He says a few right things, but that’s hardly enough to support him for local state assembly, much less President.
Maybe in 15 years, after a life in public, and he has some real political combat experience and battle scars - like Trump.
A fish rots from the head and our garbage ruling class needs to be ejected.
I have been reading his stuff for a couple of years.
First off, the guy is brilliant and accomplished. Secondly he is honest. I think it is important to have such public voices. Exposure is all he is looking for IMHO and I can deal with it.
Let us see if he gets some interest.

Yeah, I know it's a stretch to characterize him as "mulatto", as his father was mostly arab and his mother was white! (Sound a little racist? I'm not, but OK.)
That's not a problem. Its still a semi-free country. Everyone is entitled to their voice.
And if he hits the right topics and picks the right battles, America's conservatives and libertarians will quickly raise him up.

Vivek sounds good, and may be a future option. He may be smart enough to be a good problem solver. On the bell curve, now one cannot argue that All millennials are the same mold. Just most.
And while it shouldn’t matter, his name sounds too much like The Simpson’s Apu.
We are lucky to have Mr. Ramaswamy in the Republican party. He hits on topics of fundamental importance which the “Reagan Zombies” have forgotten. It’s not about what the “Chamber” wants. It’s about what is good for America.
He no doubt advanced the proverbial ball, but the Deep State was entrenched well before Barry.
I doubt he has a chance, but I am supporting him right now.
Get the Demorats out of Govrnment and the nation will be fine!
