My “smart phone” is invaluable for my business. But that’s all I use it for. Quick references, calculations, pictures, podcasts, and text messages. I 100% tether for internet at the office and home. I hardly ever use it for phone calls. Aside from FR no social media.

Old dumb phones still can be tracked, I believe. Ours from 2000 had “location” built in.
I think they all have gps now.
Don’t bet against smart phones, most kids use them for their TV and streaming services. They aren’t going away until a better replacement comes along.

Hubby is adamant about keeping a flip phone, so got a new one when we changed providers. Only trouble is, even though it flips, it’s Android based. The texting feature is not the normal old-timey texting, either. Basically, it’s a pain.
