I followed that case a bit. Having spent a good bit of time in SA...recently...his burglar defense sounded plausible. South Africa is a *breathtakingly* violent country where everyone is vulnerable to violence but affluent people are particularly vulnerable to violent attacks at 2PM or 2AM,at home or anywhere else.

Add to that the fact that he sleeps without his legs on and you have a defense worthy of consideration.
