Let me suggest a solution for charging EVs, and to ‘satisfy’ the illusion by the climate-change proponents that they’re somehow saving the planet (in reality, it’s not about saving the planet)...

Generators.

Most everyone can afford generators, which can power a house in times of need. So, every household should have a generator always ready to charge an EV battery.

No, fossil-fuels there. ;)

And it would be the same kind of charging/recharging that occurs now for EVs. ;)

Problem solved. ;)

If you charge to 100%. I thought they mitigated much of it if they only fast charged to 80%.

Oh, and generators can be easily carried by the EVs, in their trunks, if they have the room for a trunk. ;)

There is an opinion piece at the WSJ today regarding the following: “Europe Backtracks on Its Gas-Car Ban” https://www.wsj.com/articles/europe-backtracks-on-its-gas-car-ban-internal-combustion-engines-2035-european-union-7d67cbc2?mod=opinion_lead_pos4 The final paragraph reads as follows: “That’s a luxury consumers won’t enjoy in California, Oregon and Washington state, where bans on new cars with internal-combustion-engines remain on the books for 2035. You know your state capital has taken a wrong turn when your lawmakers would do well to learn a lesson from Brussels.”

This EV is so Bravo Sierra beating out the old combustion engine car.

Those EV cars are too expensive right now.

Ok......so what powers the generator?

You can make an EV charging station charge 50 times faster by spraying the copper guts with a mixture of white vinegar, ammonia, and salt

They’re not performing because I park my truck in them every damn time I can. Eff anyone who don’t like it too.

It ain’t illegal and stupid ev owners can shove their privilege up their candy asses

“In areas with only one or two charging stations, the lines can become quite long if some or most of the chargers are out of service when you arrive.”

OBVIOUS SOLUTION, except for those unable to think: Only go to charging stations when traffic is low and all of their chargers are working.

See, not so hard, if you have a brain, that is.

How convenient. NOT!

Ok......so what powers the generator?

The same thing that powers the EV charging stations now. ;)

Get it???

BTW, did you notice my smiley faces within my posts?

“We drive from the oc to vegas and back a few times a year and its so funny all those evs waiting to charge up I mean its nuts baker is the funniest.”

I drive a GASOLINE CAR and I always have a BIG SMILE on my face as I drive by charging stations with cars waiting for many minutes, usually hours, knowing that I can ‘fill up’ my car, at one of the many gas stations in UNDER 5 MINUTES.

Nothing makes me happier than the people who, over 100 years ago, decided to ditch EVs and move to gasoline - THEY SAW THE FUTURE!!!

It just amazes me how many Americans are STUCK IN THE PAST, still driving battery-powered cars, when the technology has passed right by them.

Electricity rates are going up. Heard the northeast recently experienced a 20 to 25% increase. FL is holding close to the line for now.
Those higher rates will not reduce and only increase.

Good luck to all the tree huggers.
Better hope the government the pray to doesnt cut their pension too.

“To ask the question as to why they aren’t, answers the question itself. Windmills and solar panels do not create sufficient electricity upon demand to make such a thing viable.”

A while ago, I did the math on one of Tesla’s ‘Supercharging’ Stations in the middle of California that had a roof covered with solar panels. I counted up the solar panels, factored in the local climate, seasonal sunlight, and determined that the panels, on a good day, could charge 3 cars. The other 100 or so cars were stuck with the mostly-coal powered grid*.

*but in their defense, fossil fuel power comes mainly from Arizona (4 Corners Coal Plant) and Mexico, so it’s ‘non-polluting’.

We must all do our part to protect the planet.

I just unplugged a row of electric cars that no one was using.

“Europe Backtracks on Its Gas-Car Ban”

Yep - they WILL allow fossil fuel cars, PROVIDED that the fuel is ‘carbon-neutral’, meaning $25 per gallon (per my estimate).

What’s INGENIOUS about this move is that the RICH Europeans (the ones with government connections) will be able to drive as freely as today, but the ‘masses’ will, unfortunately, be out of luck.

Which are more efficient do you think? The cleanest technology turbo diesel cars like Europe’s Ford Focus (not avail here due to emissions in CA) or something like Honda Fit. Toyota Yaris or that little Nissan?
