Good point. I know of Anglo-Catholic Episcopalians, but they don’t count.

May I introduce you to Episcopalians? The mildest of the bunch these days.

We might also have to include the United Church/Congregationalists in that group. I remember a few years ago they were putting out a huge promotional campaign, and the key slogan was "Don't put a period where God puts a comma".

So, who are they quoting, Julian Bond? Reinhold Niebuhr? Paul Tillich?

Nope. They were proudly quoting Gracie Allen, who was a brilliant Catholic comedienne, but not particularly known for being taken very seriously in the realms of philosophy or theology.
