Apparently the school shooter in the Nashville area shot the lock to get in. Apparently that shooter had written plans. I want safer schools, but real school safety may be more difficult to achieve than they think.

And "hardening" public schools might make it more difficult for parents to find out what they are teaching, and what the textbooks contain. They keep trying to put "climate change" propaganda into math lessons etc. etc.

The most vulnerable and valuable possessions of a society warrant the most extensive protection. This has not yet, despite the all too numerous school massacres, penetrated the minds of a body politic more interested in debating the pros and cons of honest citizen gun ownership.

Localities have the power, guaranteed by the Constitution, to implement the steps they deem necessary to protect schools. It's long past time to harden schools against maniacs. It's up to us...

Disarming lawful citizens, for whatever reason, would be a giant step toward the destruction of the Constitution and the freedoms it protects.
