“I go to Mass and I say the rosary”
Neither of which gives salvation.
But Lord, I went to mass, and confession and prayed the Rosary, and was baptized as an infant, and was an altar boy, and checked all the obligatory religious boxes.
Jesus: Depart from me, I never knew you.

It's worse than you guys imagine. Someone who is given right doctrine and all of those aids to salvation and still leads a reprobate life and dies in a state of mortal sin, gets a worse judgement than the person who had none of them.
And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. -- Lk 12:47-48, NKJV
