Funny how some stars are timeless and others became dated.
Byrds, Animals, Petula Clark, Tom Jones, obviously Rolling Stones, Beatles and Doors had depth of musical talent.
I didn’t remember how great the aging Harry James was in the era around 1966-1969 doing A Taste of Honey and others in triple fast time with outstanding brass including his own solos. Was the first band for Frank Sinatra. I was even a fan of the end of the era big bands on tour then (Stan Kenton, Sy Zentner,New Glenn Miller Band) but only saw James on Ed Sullivan. Outstanding work.
