Yes. I read the article. If you had bothered to educate yourself beyond what ignorant reporters write, you would look to primary sources to see what actually happened.

Under Brazilian law, an accused person can enter into a "Non-Prosecution Agreement" in which the case is deferred and settled OUTSIDE of the judicial system.

Basically, the person 1) admits guilt; 2) pays restitution; 3) waives assets and rights; 4) does community service; 5) pays a fine; or 6) any completes other conditions indicated by Prosecution, provided it is proportional to the imputed criminal offense.

It's a shame that so many people try to play in areas that are far outside the scope of their expertise.
