“Wassym Bensaid, Rivian’s senior vice president of software development, acknowledged the unfortunate incident, telling Insider, “There was an unfortunate cascade of events and edge cases that led to this situation. But we take this feedback as a gift. It’s great input for us to improve the product.””
_____
I doubt think it can be called a “gift” unless it was freely given. It cost the guy over $2,000, in addition to his time and trouble.
“It’s great input for us to improve the product.”
Sheesh, they should pay the guy for being an unwitting beta tester. He thought he was getting a fully debugged product fit for purpose.
Ha! If the buyer thought that, he’s an idiot. This beta test program is very costly for owners buying the latest hot status symbol. Let that be a lesson to everybody!
Yeah I wonder if the guy who paid $2100 for this immobilization felt it was a gift...
