I generally agree with that, but some common sense needs to be applied because sometimes government officials need to undertake sensitive travel that is best not known about until the trip is over.
It is the public's right to know how our monies are being spent but some procedures need to be in place to prevent these information-seeking inquiries from being done just to create problems. Like what was done in Alaska to harass Sarah Palin when she was governor or what was done in Wisconsin to harass Scott Walker.
What happened to Sarah Palin was completely different.
