The most powerful unions in the state are the teachers’ union and public employees union. The Democrats are beholden to them for their “election contributions” (aka kickbacks).

It has been argued that public employees (which includes teachers) should not be allowed to unionize because the effectively sit on both sides of the negotiating table.

Yes, that’s what repeal of right to work law is all about.

Ironclad control over the indoctrination of our youth
Ironclad control over the state’s electoral process

They could care less about miners, pipefitters, electricians, ironworkers and the like. Exhibit A: Keystone pipeline. Exhibit B: Minnesota iron range.
