As a matter of indisputable fact, the Wagner Group has suffered devastating casualties in Ukraine, Prigozhin has had a public falling out with Putin and his Defense Minister, and by refocusing on Africa, Prigozhin will return to the favorable jurisdiction of the Russian Foreign Ministry and providing protection for Africa's dictators and the looting of the continent's resources.

Will Wagner's departure help Ukraine? That depends on whether the Russians have created and trained new forces to replace them. No doubt they have to a degree, but it is hard to imagine that poorly equipped and minimally trained new Russian military formations will be very effective.
