When Will Stubborn Trump Loyalists Face Inconvenient Truths?
American Thinker ^ | 03/24/23 | Geoffrey Hunt

Posted on 03/24/2023 9:27:50 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Stubborn Trump supporters, especially the most fervent, seem unwilling to challenge the deedless covenant, ask the hard questions that if answered truthfully would confirm that Donald Trump has been a supreme letdown, and his failures -- including the re-election debacle -- self-inflicted.

Promises made, promises kept? Not when it mattered.

Drain the swamp? Spinning around in an airboat.

Trump never cleaned up the FBI, instead hired the Dem sympathizer Christopher Wray as Director, and except for a few gratuitous tweets about his incompetence, left him in place.

Gina Haspel, CIA chief, kept the job until the last day despite the likelihood she was knee-deep with John Brennan in the active sabotage of Trump’s 2015-2016 campaign and incoming president-elect transition.

Trump appointed, then tolerated clueless insubordinates and leakers like Rex Tillerson, John Kelly, JR McMaster, James Mattis, and Gary Cohn, until the damage was done, and Trump’s agenda crippled.

When will unyielding Trump loyalists answer the following questions?

Why did Trump endlessly rail against billions in federal budget giveaways to Dem darlings like Planned Parenthood, and Marxist countries, but signed the bills anyhow?

Why couldn’t Trump get illegal immigration fixed -- beyond executive orders easily overturned — and get Obamacare reversed when he had a Republican Senate and House? Why did Trump let Paul Ryan ruin his platform? Why did Trump deliberately antagonize John McCain knowing McCain would undercut the final vote on debriding Obamacare? Why did Trump willfully persist with a toxic persona, alienating suburban voters that cost him (and us) the House in 2018 and led to the first impeachment and a MAGA agenda declared morte by the Democrats?

Why did Trump never de-classify all the Obamagate documents, and release all of the Biden laptop evidence?

I have issues with this author regarding his demand that Trump be able to accomplish his MAGA agenda under the constitutional CONSTRAINTS imposed on him by his position.

I will concede that many of his appointments were busts, but as some of the commenters at AT pointed out : Most of the things on that list were things he did not have the authority to do or was blocked by Mitch/Ryan/Pelosi/Schumer.

The Democrats and their media allies used the entrenched government bureaucracy and a weaponized DOJ to undercut him at every turn. I actually remember the frustration of the fight against almost all of DC and the fact that he got anything done in the face of the opposition is amazing.

The author is guilty of the very same flaw he assigns to Trump supporters; namely: He expects that Trump should have had the success rate of a God. When one is constantly fending off sociopaths and Mandarins (eg, Pelosi & McConnell), expecting God-like outcomes from a mere mortal is asking too much. And did he mention that over 90% of the mainstream press continued to publish negative and fake news against him?

And here’s my other question — let’s say you vote for someone other than Trump, what guarantee do you have that this Republican President won’t encounter the same obstacles that Trump faced?

I half agree with the author about the election debacle; Trump could have and should have done everything in his power to legally stall the certification of 2020. He did do a lot, including going to courts to get redress, but they wouldn’t listen.

Could any Republican win in 2024, with our messed up electoral system?

Hey, Seek&Find, yeah your Mother whinges one about your mistakes, too, but we don’t bother listening to them.

You are the type of swamp creep that would go to the Louve just to pontificate on the smiling lady.

Bugger off.

The author left out the “vaccines” of which to this day Trump claims “fatherhood”... and endorses them as safe and effective.

That is where he lost me.

And if Trump had fired deep-state Wray, deep-state McConnell would have voted which way on the deep-state brought fake Russia collusion impeachment?

I will vote for the GOP candidate, but I hope it’s not Trump. Too much self inflicted baggage.

Asking for thoughtful replies. I voted for President Trump twice.

If President Trump is elected again, what would be different this term from the previous one, and why?

Thank you all.

Yes, Trump has disappointed me recently, especially with his support of Ronna McRomney. That’s why the door is open for me to ultimately support DeSantis.

No republican presidential candidate will win with out a massive private, legal, ballot delivery and retrieval machine.

The American people have long respected the FBI.

Its misuse is deplorable.

Valid question, which is why Trump needs to start building a team now, and not waiting and getting stuck with the same backstabbers as before.

Could he regain you by eventually, albeit belatedly, acknowledging the obvious (maiming and statistically impossible excess death), and committing to making things right?

He has to be low key preparing such a pitch.

what guarantee do you have.

The absolute guarantee that every obstacle and obstruction will be pushed in front of any, ANY, Non-Democrat at EVERY opportunity. With certain Media collusion.

Not just President, but every elected office.
