I’ve lived in Florida since 1985 and have seen the quality of life here deteriorate significantly. In 1990-91 I worked in Orlando which at the time was a beautiful city.

A few short years ago I had occasion to drive out there on an I-4 that looked like I was in Beirut. Complete infrastructure breakdown.

When I got there after killing the suspension on my vehicle, everyone I met spoke little to no English and the place looked like a bomb had hit it.

In Tampa illegals are arriving almost daily and there are traffic jams at 11 o’clock in the morning going on all day long. Grid lock where you wait for three-four light changes to get through any intersection.

Drivers violating basic rules of the road with impudence, and no law enforcement presence to stop it. Tailgating and speeding and drivers even of company vehicles with total lack of impulse control.

I’m talking driving the wrong way on streets, parking the wrong way in subdivisions, blowing through intersections against a red light, trying to run down pedestrians caught in a crosswalk, out of control motorcycles everywhere and vehicles rigged to make the most horrendous ear-splitting racket when the driver changes gears.

The big myth is Florida is being well-governed but we don’t see this where we live. Bags of litter dumped deliberately near private home subdivisions, but never near apartment complexes. Subsequent drivers then burst the bags, spewing kitchen and bathroom trash all across the street.

Need to make an appointment to see a dentist or a doctor? You are told there is an eight- to ten-week wait. Homeowners associations are silent in the face of trespass and encroachment issues becoming common between home owners, as deed restrictions are no longer enforced. There is no respect for private property.

County code enforcement agencies reply with hostility to any requests for assistance with violations. County Commission members ignore emails from constituents. The idea that Florida has in some way a great governor is a very strange concept.

The sheriff and the local prosecuting attorneys and judges have declared hands-off the criminal element with the exception of charges of rape or shooting deaths. And even then, the reporting in the local media is brief and with constant protection given to the perpetrators by withholding identification of any sort unless they happen to be white males.

In Hillsborough County it’s no longer a criminal offense to drive either without insurance or without a drivers license. When you go to the local tax office regarding your license the first thing they want to know is if you are registered to vote. The computer prompts them. Unbelievable. Yet ninety percent of the people waiting there for service are Hispanic or Caribbean.

If you hire anyone to do house cleaning or installing a new roof, no one speaks English and you will need a Spanish interpreter to communicate with the workers assigned to the job.

Florida has become a lawless hellhole receptacle for third world low-IQ trash. The ones their native countries do not want.

Ask me why I’m stupid enough to continue to live here. Because I don’t believe there’s anyplace else to go.
