At least it’s only a relative few in Syria. In Poland I suspect we have at least 50,000 there by now, many who take off their uniforms, ‘retire’ from the military, go into Ukraine as ‘mercenaries’, and then come back and rejoin the military. Not sure just how ‘voluntary’ that program is, but probably doesn’t need much coercion, given peer pressure there.
But also many others who want no part of being cannon-fodder for Russia, once Ukraine is spent...feel bad for them and their families.
Thanks, I wasn’t aware that our ex-soldiers were in danger of being fed into the meat grinder. My son was in Hawaii/Japan/Korea but could have been deployed in Ukraine later if they ran out of cannon fodder.
