I thought Ron DeSantis was a good Florida Governor. I liked that he used his excellent baseball skills to go to an Ivy League school. I felt badly that he said he was not really accepted by some of his peers perhaps because was not preppy or maybe because he was a middle class kid living in a country club world.
Now Ron DeSantis sees himself as an executive guy. He is not like Donald Trump, a man who is so concerned and relatable to the working man and woman. I know which person I would choose.

IMO, he was easily conned.

Not the most intelligent president ever.

I don’t blame him for not wanting to be Donald Trump’s whipping boy and scapegoat like Pence was. I sure the heck wouldn’t. Especially not after he’s been calling me names, having his PAC file election charges against me, and even threatening to release made up charges against me in the future.

Makes sense to stay the big dog in Florida, if you don’t get the nomination, and continue to set the bar on how to be the best conservative governor in the country.

Go to the 5:00 minute mark of this interview of Trump

Trump admits he not only overruled Fauci on the vaccines (Fauci actually warned Trump it should take years to create one properly), Trump also bragged he went ahead and ordered billions of the vaccines before even the first test had been performed on their safety, or effectiveness. Calls it another one of his great achievements!

False fear? What are you talking about? I know three people personally, who died from COVID. One of them was my father. I know many others, one person removed from me who succumbed to it. While for most people it was little more than the equivalent of a bad flu, there were/are a significant portion of the population to whom it posed and still poses a deadly threat. Some people like to falsely claim that it was nothing but another strain of flu. Well if it was (which it wasn’t) it was deadlier than any strain of flu we’ve seen in a long time. During the years 2010 to 2020, annual deaths from the flu ranged from 12,000 on the low end (during the 2011-2012 flu season) to 52,000 on the height end (during the 2017-2018 flu season).

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html

In 2020 we had 377,883 deaths from COVID19, and this was during a period when large segments of our population were under quarantine. Regardless of the criticisms many people have over quarantines, and many of these criticisms are valid, they nonetheless slowed the spread of the disease. So, even with a quarantine in place for most of the year, we had a death toll that exceeded the max annual flu death toll from 2010-2020 by more than a factor of 7. Once the quarantines were lifted, the 2021 annual death toll was even greater than 2020.

Like virtually all medications and vaxxes, there are some who have bad, and in some instances, fatal responses to it. Nobody should be forced to take the vaxx, and Trump never supported mandated vaccinations. But while there were undoubtedly fatalities from the vaxxes, the vaxxes also saved lives. Whether to take one of the vaxxes or not is and should be a personal decision. But there’s no perfect answer as to whether an individual will be better off taking the one of the vaxxes or not taking them. People have to look at the risks from either choice and try to decide which course is best for them to take, the best way they can with the data they have.

Yes, I agree. Trump was absolutely pathetic when it comes to protecting Americans from the enemy within. Of course, he's got that cape now, so maybe next time...

The 100% Bush-style defense is what is ridiculous: bad advice, good intentions, etc.

Huge deadly failure is huge deadly failure.

No, Trump did not mandate the serum of tyranny. He just created it and left it in the hands of the evil America-hating monkeys.

If the populist prez had done the normal, sane, scientifically sound thing... there would be no rotten fake vax to mandate. It would not have passed testing until beyond his second term. And by then we'd have know it was a miserable and deadly failure.

Trump gets the blame for the mandates. They would not be possible without his lust for power.

DeSanctus recently hired the Lyin Ted cRuz dolt/campaign manager, Jeff Roe, who LIED about Dr Ben Carson dropping out of the (2016) race.

What a classy guy to hire!

I think Ron may have also hired Lyin Ted's tailor!

Do you blame him for not addressing the political persecution of a presidential candidate through lawfare until his deafening silence on the subject forced him to make a tepid remark on the matter? Do you blame him for being dismissive of Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him? After all, you’re the one who claimed DeSantis was so much stronger on this issue.

And just for the hell of it, what are your thoughts about this?

History quickly showed that Trump’s claim he was being arrested was false, so there was no need to rush into anything. And when he did speak, he nailed it about Bragg being an out of control Soros prosecutor. DeSantis would know, since he’s the only governor in America to have actually removed one.

But I found it funny that those who were cheering on Trump’s daily insults of DeSantis, were somehow shocked he didn’t come running to Trump’s rescue that very day. Talk about living in a Trump echo chamber bubble. Everybody else knows Trump would have been leading chants of “Lock Him Up” if the shoe was on the other foot LOL.

“History quickly showed that Trump’s claim he was being arrested was false”

Nonsense. We know a grand Jury has been empaneled and is considering the matter. Whether an arrest eventually comes from it, we’ll see. It will depend on how fair the jury pool is, how effective Bragg’s supression of exculpatory evidence has been, and whether all the increased public focus and criticism of the last few days will cause Bragg to have cold feet.

No comment on DeSantis’s criticism of Trump’s 2020 fraud allegations? How about the Twitter video of Dave Rubin recounting how DeSantis and his wife sent him and his “husband” two baby onesies for their newly adopted children. Not a good look for a guy you claimed was so much better than Trump on such issues.
