Calling him an animal will provoke sympathy for Bragg and cries of racism. It's a bad strategy to provoke any law enforcement agency that may have purview over you, but especially in this sort of manner, even if they're dead wrong. No judge is going to appreciate those types of attacks on the DA, no matter if the judge might otherwise be sympathetic to your case. It gives the impression that someone thinks they're above the law, which often results in them getting a reminder, that they're not.
