I agree. The number one rule in US politics today is an unfortunate one: It is not a level playing field. A Democrat can say and do the most outrageous things, and it’s not reported. But any vague thing any Republican might say is blown way out of proportion.
This is, of course, no way fair. But it’s also the current reality. Republicans need to be bold. But they also need to be clever. It’s a tough needle to thread, but it must be done if we are to win the propaganda war.
They need to fight their opponents, the GOP, AND the media... even AFTER they are elected. But, Liberals only need to fight other candidates during the election campaigning...then they can say and do whatever they want, with no questions asked.
I am reminded of Chuck Schumer’s outrageous statements on the steps of the US Supreme Court!!
