About half the malls in my large multi-city metropolitan area are closed or closing. I am old enough to remember their heyday, but the times don't favor their continued existence.

I really don't understand it. Some things you just have to handle and try on to know if you want it. There is no substitute. Waiting days or weeks to send something ordered by mail back for a different size or fit seems LESS convenient than in-person shopping.

Malls were very good before online shopping and before they became infested with hood rats. Not really hard to figure out their demise.
