What are they required to present to the grand jury as opposed to an actual trial?

Nothing. A grand jury is the prosecutor’s show.

The requirement to produce evidence doesn’t come until there’s an indictment.

if one grand jury juror asked to see the documents Costello talked about (and suggested they ask the prosecutor for) the prosecutor has to give them to the jury.
