I believe that's what "drain the swamp" was all about. The swamp is the legion of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats that infest the Executive Branch in the many three-letter departments. It didn't happen last time - we all saw the constant sabotage from within. I'd like to hear in detail how Trump will accomplish it this time.

I don’t think he appreciated the depth and power of the swamp. Being a business man he’d seen tons of mergers and acquisitions, the employees get new business cards and marching orders. Some bitch and moan but go along with the new boss. The swamp is much larger and powerful, and have more things in place to protect them. Also, being an outsider to DC his bench was very shallow as far as personnel was concerned and he ended up with enemies in positions near him.
