I don’t see a violation here. Per Trump in 2018

“...despite already having signed a detailed letter admitting that there was no affair. Prior to its violation by Ms. Clifford and her attorney, this was a private agreement. Money from the campaign, or campaign contributions, played no roll in this transaction.”

IF Trump paid her off from his own funds that is not illegal. I believe they will claim he used campaign donations for the payoff. Now ... if sloppy accounting was used and the check actually came from some campaign account then Trump is hosed. Given the jurors will be in NY he may be hosed regardless of facts.

Hosed how? Would DJT's signature be on the check? Is this an imprisonment offense or just a fine, like the Hildebeast had to pay?

Then he is in the wrong courtroom if there is a violation of federal campaign finance law, which isn’t a felony in this amount in any case.

There were no campaign funds sent to Horseface.

According to Costello, the check came from Michael Cohen, who took out a loan. Cohen then billed Trump after the fact
