Sorry to be so cynical, but the American population’s lotus of control is the TeeVee. Whatever people on Tic-Tok or the TV say, that’s what is closely parroted back as one’s personal conviction.

Didn't you mean to say the 2022 election?
The right track/wrong track question appeared to doom the Dems in 2022, but they did A-OK according to the vote counters in many contested races (AZ, PA, GA, etc.)
