Ever notice with computers we now have more paper? I drive through carls Jr. a receipt when you pay, a receipt on the bag where they fold it over and hand it to you to try and force the receipt into your hand, and a receipt inside the bag. Maybe it’s just me.

It is protocol, a substitute for good service/common sense, reduce liability.

How many times do you get asked your birthdate at the doctor. every wonder why?

To avoid lawsuits? I was told that if they had to perform surgery or administer medication, they wanted to be absolutely certain you were the right patient. Hence the repeated questioning.

There are cases of doctors doing surgery on the wrong patient.

yes because they are to ignorant to know my name is unusual
and I am obviously in my mid 70s.

Just like when I e-check in online the day before and they ask me the questions again at the front desk when I show up. If the e-check in works, as I believe it does, they should be out of a job.

Lastly after 12 years with my primary doctor he and his nurses might just know it’s me.
