If NYC actually sends cops down to slap cuffs on him, then it'll be a local issue with the Sheriff's Department, local law enforcement, and the Secret Service, no?

The governor gets no say in the matter. Other than that, local law’s main duty would be to insure any extradition warrant was legal and all the i’s were dotted and so forth.

The Palm Beach PD was more than happy to park their squad cars around Mar-a-Lago last August 8th with their blue and red lights flashing for all the world to see. Screw ‘em.
And the Secret Service did nothing to stop the FBI jackboots from raiding Mar-a-Lago.
