I assume Trump asked for the endorsement first. DeSantis said hang it on the wall. That’s my assumption."
Why do you assume he did? I try to avoid assuming anything. Show me proof/evidence.
For the sake of argument, let's say that Trump asked DeSantis for an endorsement (still want to see that link and/or proof), didn't get it, and THEN started in on insulting DeSantis out of spite. Still, is that a wise move on Trump's part? It's turning off people that would have (or did previously) support Trump...just like it did back in 2016 when Trump started in on his childish insults against Ted Cruz.
Trump has stated, in his defense of saying he regretted endorsing DeSantis, that he likes loyalty. If that's true, why have so many people that he has appointed and hired turned out to be disloyal? It's a pattern. A disturbing one.
For the record, IF Trump is able to run in 2024, I will vote for him.....if he does not do (or say) something really heinous between now and then. I mean, he pissed me off in 2016 for the same behavior...yet I approved of most of what he did for America while in office.
You said: “I try to avoid assuming anything.”
Yet you said:
“he calls anyone who he deems as a GOP opponent tacky names. By coming out with an endorsement for Trump after that”
Hint “after” is the operative word. DeSantis won’t endorse Trump after Trump called him names.
Now you say Show me proof/evidence.
I asked you why you assume Trump didn’t ask DeSantis for an endorsement first
Go ahead.
