Within six weeks, Abraham Lincoln sent an army into Virginia. Within six DAYS, FDR confiscated all private gold coins and gold certificates, and annulled all gold contracts. And so on.
I'm not advocating for making war on states, or for gold confiscation.
I'm pointing out that, for a time, the President has enormous implicit powers, and the question of how they were exercised from 1/20/17 - 1/20/21 is THE question for the 2024 primary season.
Not the words that came out of his mouth, but what he DID with all that power.
Your post rings of truth. I can’t put my finger on it, but it has always felt like something was a bit “off” with Trump. I loved watching him make leftie heads explode and all. But... despite all the good that he did ‘for’ America while in office, there’s always a “but” attached to the good. Like, for instance, how easily everything he did was undone by OBiden. And now he’s back to attacking the ones we need most to fight the radical left.
I don’t know. Something just doesn’t add up.
