Another thread mentioned that DeSantis can refuse to extradite him to another state. Maybe that’s true...?
“Another thread mentioned that DeSantis can refuse to extradite him to another state. Maybe that’s true...?”
Why would DeSantis do that? Especially after all the crap Trump and his supporters have been throwing at him?

Whether or not that is true, my guess (only a guess) is that Trump will not hide in Florida and leave himself at the mercy of DeSantis. He intends to fight. And he’ll reserve for himself the ability to fight throughout the nation — go anywhere he chooses to go.
DeSantis & extradition. It’s almost impossible to stop extradition between states in the U.S. The U.S. Constitution deals with extradition directly and doesn’t leave any wiggle room, it’s a mandatory process.
If a person fights extradition there will be a hearing before a judge, but it’s not a trial, the case can’t be argued before the judge. It will be about making sure the proper paperwork has been filed, pretty much checking technical details.
It would be better if Trump went to NY and surrendered to authorities, which is probably what his attorney will advise, and what most people do.
I’ve never heard of that and even if true RDS will not do that.
Wouldn’t THAT be fun!
The county sheriff could probably stop the arrest. He is actually an elected law officer, and the highest authority in the county.
Does he have both the inclination and the stones?
